Form One Admission

Arrangements for Notifying Successful Discretionary Places (DP) Applicants

Parents/Guardians of successful DP applicants (for inclusion in the Successful List for Discretionary Places) have been notified by phone and email on 31 March 2025. This notification may not be the final DP application results under SSPA; the school allocation for your child will be announced concurrently with the Central Allocation result on 8 July 2025.

The reserve list is not disclosed at this stage.

Should you wish to apply for Form 1 (2025-2026) vacancies after the release of SSPA allocation results, details will be available on our school website in July.

General Information about Application for Form 1 Discretionary Places (2025-2026)

Admission to Form One at Maryknoll Convent School (Secondary Section), an aided school, is regulated by the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System. Students are admitted either through the discretionary place system or allocated by the Education Bureau (EDB).

Candidates who apply for discretionary places are reminded that each student may apply to NOT MORE THAN TWO secondary schools participating in the SSPA system. Otherwise, the application will be rendered void.

The number of Form One classes and that of discretionary places for the 2025-2026 academic year are 5 and 54 respectively (tentative; pending final approval from the EDB).

The collection of applications will start on 2 January 2025 and end on 16 January 2025.
