UrbanPlan Workshop

UrbanPlan Workshop

27/04/2024

The Career and Life Planning Committee and the Geography Panel jointly organised a two-day urban planning learning activity for our Form 1 and Form 5 students in April. The programme, UrbanPlan, was designed by Urban Land Institute (ULI) to create a realistic, interactive classroom-based team challenge, in which students learn about the fundamental forces that affect urban regeneration.

A pre-workshop lesson was delivered by a school teacher and ULI instructors on 8 April. Then on 27 April, the workshop was held with the assistance of industry professionals volunteering their time to take on facilitation and judging duties.

The learning experience was engaging and effective. It was also a showcase of students’ creativity and application of knowledge on urban design and planning. Our students demonstrated a high level of generic skills, including negotiation, communication, and presentation in the activity.
