On 9 April, some Form 5 students attended an admission talk and taster lecture conducted by the HKU School of Biomedical Sciences.

The Career and Life Planning Committee invited Dr Rachel Kwan, an assistant lecturer at the HKU School of Biomedical Sciences, to provide an overview of the BBiomedSc curriculum to Form 5 students, sharing admission tips as well as articulation and career opportunities.

A taster lecture on the topic ‘AI in Medicine’ was also offered, in which students built their own AI-based image classifier for the diagnosis of pneumonia. Through this opportunity, students got to gain a better understanding of fields related to healthcare, research, and biotechnology.
