Maryknoll Day
On 17 October 2025, we celebrated Maryknoll Day, an annual occasion held on the Friday before Mission Sunday. This event brings Maryknoll students together to honour our school’s origins and core values.
This year, the Catholic Society’s President and Vice President conducted an interview with Sister Norma Pocasangre, who shared her experiences and insights into life as a sister.
A key highlight of the day was the closing of the time capsule. Members of the Maryknoll family gathered to place items inside it, including letters to future selves, magazines and newspaper clippings featuring our school, centenary publications and souvenirs, photos of centenary celebrations, and a plushie in Maryknoll unform. The time capsule was sealed and is to be opened ten years from now.
Concluding the event, we sang hymns, prayed, and, following the cherished Maryknoll tradition carried on from the Sisters, enjoyed joyous moments having ice-cream together.
