Lenten Prayer Service
On 11 March, the Lenten Prayer Service was celebrated and we were brought together once again for the season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.
The service began with a group of students introducing the meaning of Lent, explaining its significance as a time for introspection, penance, and spiritual growth. Their thoughtful insights set a reflective tone for the gathering.
As we all listened to the reading from the Bible, we witnessed the story of the temptation of Jesus, reminding us that however tempting it is to sin, we have the power to resist the evil. With new insights instilled in our hearts and mind, we joined together in singing several hymns. The melodies filled the room, creating a sense of unity and joy.
Students then took turns leading prayers, sharing personal reflections that resonated deeply with everyone present. The service concluded with a communal prayer, where we united our intentions for the Lenten season. As we left, there was a palpable sense of peace and purpose, reminding us to carry the spirit of Lent into our daily lives, fostering kindness and compassion in our school community.
