F.4 Cross-circular Visit to the Hong Kong Palace Museum
As part of a cross-curricular activity jointly organised by the Citizenship and Social Development and Chinese History panels, F.4 students visited the Palace Museum on 10 January 2025. They participated in guided tours of two exhibitions: ‘Entering the Forbidden City: Architecture, Collection, and Heritage’ and ‘From Dawn to Dusk: Life and Art in the Forbidden City’. Through these exhibitions, students were introduced to artefacts from the multi-cultural Qing court and experienced the daily lives of emperors and empresses in the eighteenth century. Featuring over 300 treasures from the Palace Museum, the exhibitions highlighted significant moments in the well-regulated lives of the Qing court. The visit enriched students’ understanding of China’s cultural heritage and the history of cultural exchange.
