F.4 Cross-circular Visit to the Hong Kong Palace Museum
05/01/2024
As part of the cross-curricular activity jointly organised by the Citizenship and Social Development, Chinese History and Visual Arts panels, F.4 students visited the Palace Museum on 5 and 26 January. The students joined guided tours on the exhibitions ‘Entering the Forbidden City: Architecture, Collection, and Heritage’ and ‘Gazing at Sanxingdui: New Archaeological Discoveries in Sichuan’. They were introduced to artefacts of the multi-cultural Qing court from the Forbidden City as well as archaeological discoveries dating back some 2,600 to 4,500 years ago from Sanxingdui. The visits enriched the students' understanding of the rich history of cultural exchange in China and the culture of ancient Chinese civilisation.
