Cross-curricular National Security Workshop
The Form 5 Cross-curricular National Security Workshop was held on 24 April 2026.
Students explored the history of cultural loss and retrieval during foreign invasions such as the Opium Wars, the Second Sino‑Japanese War, and other periods of turmoil. They also examined the recovery of cultural items in recent times since 1949, and reflected on the importance of cultural preservation.
Through hands-on experiences in traditional Chinese arts, including Gongbi silk fan painting, Zhuanke (seal carving), landscape painting, and brocade and ash making, students discovered both the beauty and the challenges in preserving these treasures.
The workshop deepened their appreciation of Chinese culture and strengthened their sense of responsibility as citizens to help preserve and promote these invaluable traditions.
