As the new school year began, the school community gathered at St Teresa’s Church for the Opening Mass to praise and thank God for His many blessings. The Mass was celebrated by Fr Daniel Kim, MM, and centred on this year’s spiritual theme, ‘Unity in Spirit and Diversity of Gifts’. In his homily, Fr Kim reflected on the importance of recognising and using our God-given gifts for the benefit of others and the wider community. He reminded us that when we share our talents and work together, everyone benefits, including ourselves. While each person possesses unique gifts and strengths, it is precisely this diversity that enriches our community and strengthens our unity. As we embark on a new academic year, we are encouraged to appreciate one another’s differences, generously place our talents at the service of others, and journey together in faith as one body in Christ, united in spirit and purpose.
