The school’s Athletics Meet heats and finals took place at the Wan Chai Sports Ground on 15 and 23 January respectively.

The event began with an opening ceremony, during which the captains of the four houses took an oath on behalf of all students, pledging to upload the core values and sportsmanship that the Meet embodies.

As one of the most anticipated events of the school year, the Athletics Meet brought the school community together. Students competed in a wide range of track and field events, supported by the cheers and encouragement of their schoolmates, showcasing the vibrant spirit of Maryknollers. Adding to the excitement was the annual Cheer Group Competition, in which each house performed their original one-minute cheer routine, highlighting their creativity, teamwork, and house pride.

The finals concluded with the prize presentation ceremony to celebrate the achievements of the winners. Ending the event on a memorable note, Mr Addy Ip, a member of the Hong Kong Handball Team, delivered an inspiring speech encouraging us to carry the day’s energy and teamwork into our daily lives.
