Advent Prayer Service
On 28 November, we gathered in the courtyard for the Advent Prayer Service, which marks the beginning of the Advent season. The service commenced with a hymn, a heartfelt prayer, followed by a Bible reading.
We then had the lighting of the first candle which symbolises hope. The first candle is also known as the Prophecy Candle, which is lit to honour the prophets who foretold the coming of the Messiah.
The service concluded with a prayer which reminded us of the importance of having hope so that we could always journey together as pilgrims, heading in the same direction.
After the prayer service, Ms Chan, our Principal, encouraged us to engage in different acts of kindness such as giving a hug to our loved ones. May we celebrate Advent this year by living out the spirit of hope, peace, joy, and love!
