On 18 November, our school’s Chinese Debate Team won the overall championship in the 55th Inter-school Chinese Debating Competition, defeating Diocesan Girls’ School in the final round. Kwok Pin Pin (6E) was chosen as the Best Debater in the final round, and Michelle Kong (4E) won the honour in the quarter-final and semi-final rounds.
The competition lasted for over half a year, with a total of 71 secondary schools participating. Our Debate Team advanced to the finals by winning every round of the competition.
Taking place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, the final match was particularly intense. Debaters received the motion only at 7 am on the day of competition, and the match began at 3:30 pm. We are proud of what our debaters have achieved with their diligence and eloquence.
